Swimming Coach

Editor's Forward: This was based on a prompt that can be found here. I've added italics to that portion. This was a bit of a mess. The whole swimming coach theme was forgotten pretty early on, turns into a school drama, and then gets really dark once you get home to your family.

You are Will, attending a swimming class for adults. You can't swim, so you're thinking of practicing swimming in a swimming class for adults.

You will be introduced to a female swimming coach. Her name is Shae, a woman who was once an excellent swimmer. She is beautiful, sexy and busty woman. She has a great figure so one piece swimsuit suits her very well.

Shae looks at you and says, “I will teach you how to swim from today. You will surely be a good swimmer. Nice to meet you from today, Will.” She smiles and you blush.

After greeting each other Shae takes you to the pool. On your way to the pool, you see her boobs swaying in her swimsuit. You blush your face with her sexyness.

Upon arriving at the pool, Shae smiles and tells you that this class will be fun.

“Come on,” she says, “let me show you around.”

Shae then leads you to a large pool with a large diving board. There are people swimming in the pool and there is a man sitting in one of the reclining chairs. Shae says to him, “This is Will, and he will join our class today.” The man nods, and says, “Hi, Will. I'm Chuck. I'm sure you'll like the class.”

“Hi,” you say.

Shae then leads you to a corner of the pool, where she sits on the diving board, while you and Chuck sit on a towel on the pool's floor.

“Ready?” Shae asks.

You nod, and she then shows you the basic stroke, how to float on your back, and how to kick your legs in the water. She demonstrates the different types of swimming strokes you can use, and she shows you how to stay afloat without sinking.

Shae then teaches you the rules of the pool. “Swimming is not easy,” Shae says, “so you need to know the rules. Let me show you them.” Shae then points to a sign on the wall of the pool. It has the words “Swim or get out!” written on it in red letters. Shae says, “We have to be careful here. If you don't know how to swim, you'll get in trouble if you swim in without knowing how to swim. I don't want you to get hurt. Do you understand?”

You nod.

Shae then shows you a sign by the drain. It says, “Hands out to swim! Do not grab anything! We do not want any accidents here.”

You nod again.

Shae then points to a sign next to the drain. It reads, “Do not lean against the wall! This is a busy place, so if you lean here, you might get hurt.”

“OK,” you say.

Shae then points to a sign on the wall near the edge of the pool. It reads, “Swim or get out! We mean it!”

“OK, OK.” you say.

Shae laughs, and says, “Good boy.”

Shae then leads you to another corner of the pool, where she sits on a chair. She says, “Come on, let's begin.”

You grab a towel and join her on the chair. Shae then introduces you to the class, as she introduces each person and tells you their swimming abilities.

“Today,” she says, “I will introduce you to our instructor, myself. Shae has been a great swimmer, and she will be your instructor today.”

Shae smiles, and says, “Hi, I'm Shae.”

You blush, and say, “Hi.”

Shae then shows you her long legs in her swimsuit. She then gets up, and stretches her legs, moving her legs to get her ankles, knees and hips warmed up.

Shae then says, “Today, we will do a warm-up exercise. This will help you become more familiar with your swimming pool. This exercise is called, 'Taking a Hike.' What is hiking? Taking a hike is a good way to find out where different parts of the body need to go in the water. This exercise also helps you to find out what kind of swimming you should do. Do you want to try it? Come on, we'll try it. We will stand up and walk to the edge of the pool. First, you need to count. On the count of three, we will jump into the pool. One, two, three!”

You stand up, and follow Shae to the edge of the pool. Shae looks back at you, and smiles. She says, “Come on, Will, let's hike.”

You blushingly follow Shae to the pool's edge.

Shae says, “Are you ready?”

You nod, and jump into the pool.

You feel the refreshing water on your body, and you swim to the pool's edge. Shae is already there, and she holds out her hand to you. You grasp it, and she pulls you up.

“Come on,” she says, “let's try it again. On three, we jump into the pool.”

You stand by the edge of the pool, waiting for Shae to count.

“One!”

“Two!”

“Three!”

Shae pulls you up, and you take a deep breath.

Shae then looks at you, and she says, “Let's try it again.”

You smile back at her, and she pulls you up.

This time, when she gives you the count, you jump straight into the water.

You swim to the edge of the pool. Shae is there, and she grabs your hand. She pulls you to the chair, where she sits, and she starts to talk.

“Thank you for joining me in my little class today,” she says. “We have learned a lot, haven't we?”

You nod, and she continues.

“I want to thank you for joining our class. I hope you will join us tomorrow. We will have another day of swimming. I would also like to thank you for being so polite today. It is very unusual for someone to join us without being a little rude to me or to the other students. I hope you will join us tomorrow.”

“OK,” you say.

“Thank you, Will. We will see you then. Take care.”

You shrug, and say, “Bye. See you tomorrow.” You head to the locker room and undress. While showering, you think about Shae. You blush as you remember her beautiful long legs, and her huge, wonderful breasts. You sigh as you think that you have a chance with her. You shake your head in denial, and get dressed.

As you leave the locker room, you see Shae walking into the women's changing room. You sneak over and see her enter. She doesn't see you. She is about to change. You watch her bare, huge breasts as they move up and down as she breathes. You watch as they sway from side to side. You watch as they bounce as she walks. Your mouth slowly drops open as you watch her put her clothing on. You turn away, blushing as she walks by you. You can't help but stare at her. You try your best to act like you aren't staring, but you can't. You are hypnotized by her body. You can't control yourself as she walks out of the changing room. You continue to try to focus on your school work, but your mind keeps wandering to Shae.

You see her again the next day. She is standing outside of the women's locker room, staring inside. You walk past her, pretending not to see her, but you can't help but stare at her from the corner of your eyes. Your heart is beating fast. Your heart is pounding. She is so beautiful.

You then see her in a room, in an office of some sort. You are hiding behind a desk, watching her change. She is completely naked. Her huge, round breasts are exposed. They are beautiful. You then see her swimming around in a pool, completely hair free, with her beautiful breasts swinging freely. She is so sexy.

You continue to avoid her. You pretend not to see her when she walks past you, and you try to work when she is in the room next to you. You focus on your school work, rather than your lust for her. But it is hard. It is very, very hard.

You continue to try to ignore her, but your lust for her is stronger than ever. Your feelings for her are growing, and you don't understand why. You can't take it anymore. You decide to do something about it. You don't care if it is wrong. You are going to do something about your lust for her.

You see her again, just moments before the bell rings. She walks by you, and once again, you try to pretend that you don't see her. You force yourself to work harder during class. You finish your school work as quickly as you can.

The bell rings, and she is standing at the door to the hallway. You force yourself to ignore her, but you know that you will have to talk to her eventually.

“Hello, Will,” she says. She leans against the doorframe, staring at you. “Do you want to talk?”

She stares at you, waiting for an answer.

You sigh deeply. “Yeah... yeah, I want to talk to you.”

“I can see that,” she laughs. She crosses her arms. “So? What do you want to talk about?”

“Uh... can't we... uh, you know...”

“Talk? Yes. I mean, talk. Or, you know... do”?

“Do you want to get back together? I mean, I can't give you what you had, but...”

“Will,” she interrupts you. “Don't you think about it? I can't help but notice that you have been ignoring me. That isn't exactly helping me out.”

“I'm sorry; I just...” You take a deep breath. “I don't know, Shae. I, uh... I don't know what to say.”

“That's kind of what I thought. So will you come over... after school?”

Your heart is pounding. You are trembling. You want to say yes. You want to say no. You... you can't believe that this is where you are. You look over at her, and she is staring at you expectantly. She is waiting for you to say something. You have to say something... don't you?

“I... I can't say anything right now, Shae. I just need some time to think.”

“I understand, Will.”

“Okay. Good.”

She turns and walks away from you. She leaves without looking back at you. You sigh in relief as she leaves you.

For the rest of the day, all you think about is her. You wonder if you'll ever see her again.

You wonder if you'll ever find her number.

You...

You look up, and see her standing in front of you.

She is in the hallway, in front of your locker. She is holding a piece of paper.

“I think you're going to need this,” she smiles, handing the paper to you.

You take it from her.

“What's this?” you ask.

“It's a key to my apartment. I never go there during the week, so I figured you could come by whenever you want.”

“But why?”

“Because I know you won't be able to resist me, Will.”

She winks at you and begins to turn, ready to walk away.

You grab her, pulling her close to you. You kiss her, hard and fast. You push her up against the wall, crushing her against the hard surface. You move your hands all over her body, feeling her curves and toned skin. You unbutton her shirt and slide your hands over her cleavage, before moving them down to her hips. She pushes her hips against yours, and you feel her wetness on your jeans. You want more.

You break the kiss and meet her eyes.

“I want you, Shae.”

“I know.”

She smiles, winking at you.

“I'll see you later, stud,” she whispers.

“Yeah, you will,” you whisper back.

With that, she leaves you. You watch as she sashays down the hallway, her hips swaying from side to side. You sigh, before quickly putting on your book bag and rushing out of the school.

You walk home from school, head down and thinking. You arrive at your house, and let yourself in. Your parents are already asleep, so you head straight to your room and shut the door behind you. You pull out your math book, but you aren't even half done with it when you hear a knock on the door.

“Wanna go get something to eat?” she asks.

“Sure.”

You get dressed and get in her car. She drives you to a local Italian restaurant.

“So, do you like my hair?” she asks.

“Yeah. It looks great.”

“Thanks. I actually got it on sale.”

You can't help but laugh.

“Why are you so easy to please?” she jokes.

“You're just so pretty, that's all.”

“That's what all the guys say. I think I'm getting sick of hearing it.”

“But it's true, pretty ladies do have an unfair advantage over the rest of us.”

“How come?”

“Because the ladies will do anything for a guy to go up and pay attention to them. Even if it's just a few minutes of their time.”

She laughs at that.

“Maybe, but I think you'd be surprised how many just want a guy to pay attention to them. You just never notice it till it's gone.”

“I don't know about that, I think you'll always notice it.”

“I'll see you later, Will,” she says.

“Okay, see you later,” you say, as you walk back into your house.

You don't have to worry about her bothering you. She won't.

You...

You stare at your phone, wondering why she would even ask you out.

Maybe she secretly wants you to sleep with her.

Maybe she wants you to ask her out.

Maybe she just feels sorry for you.

You pick up your phone, hitting dial.

“Hello,” a man answers.

“Hey, it's me.”

“Do you need more time to think?”

“Not really.”

“Good. I have a date with Shae tonight.”

“What?”

“Yeah, tonight. With me. I'll explain it all later.”

“But why?” you ask, not able to keep the pleading from your voice.

“It's a secret. Remember?”

“But I don't understand you. I don't even know who Shae is.”

“It'll be worth it, Will. I promise.”

“I... I don't know, Dad.”

“I'll explain it all when you get home, okay? Just try to understand that this is for the greater good.”

You sigh loudly.

“I'll see you when I see you.”

“Yeah, okay. I love you, Will.”

“I love you, too, Dad.”

You hang up, before dropping your phone on the couch.

That was weird.

You wonder if you imagined the call. No, you don't think so. You always get that feeling when you talk to your dad. It's not the same as when you feel danger. Danger makes you feel alive. But you get that anxious feeling when you talk to your dad. Like something is off.

You decide to watch television, in the hopes of distracting yourself. You flip through the channels, stopping when you get an episode of Friends. You watch it, engrossed in the story.

It continues on and on. You don't really feel like watching anymore. You flip the channels, stopping on a re-run of the Brady Bunch. You watch that for a while, before changing the channel. Nothing really catches your interest. You end up going to bed, and fall asleep quickly.

You wake up in the morning, and prepare for school. You see your mom in the kitchen, making you breakfast.

“Good morning, Will!” she says.

“Morning,” you groan.

She hands you a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.

“Here.”

You ask her if dad is dating Shae.

“Honey, he didn't tell you about her? When he called last night?”

“Yeah, but doesn't that bother you?”

“What, that we still haven't gotten around to talking about it?”

“Yeah, why wait?”

“Because we have to have a serious talk first. It'll make things a lot easier.”

“Easier for you. Not me.”

“Will, if you keep being difficult, we'll never get anywhere.”

“We're fine the way we are.”

“Oh, honey, your grades are terrible. You haven't even finished your homework.”

“I don't have time to do my homework. I have a lot on my mind.”

“Like what?”

“Nothing.”

“You were going to tell me about this girl you like. That you're thinking of dating?”

“I was, but I guess dad is dating her now.”

“He is?”

“Yeah. You didn't know?”

“He didn't tell me. I know he has a girlfriend.”

“Who?”

“I don't know. Some girl named Mary.”

“Mary?”

“I don't know. I don't even like her name. It's stupid.”

“I like her name.”

“You do?”

“Yeah, I just wish it was a more interesting name. Mary sounds boring.”

“Boring is good. It means you're not looking for a girlfriend. You just want to have fun.” You have no idea what's going on. Are your parents swingers now? Or are you adopted? Why are you even questioning it?

You take the last of your bacon sandwich. “I have to go to school,” you say.

“Okay, honey. Have a good day.”

You hear moaning upstairs. “How strange,” your mom says.

“What do you think that was?” you ask.

“I really wouldn't know. Maybe the pipes?”

You walk into your parent's bedroom. The bed is disheveled, clothes strewn across the room. Your dad is on his knees, with Mary's hands over his back.

“Ah, Will,” your father says. “You have a nice day at school today, yeah?”

“Yeah, thanks. You two need any help with cleaning up?”

“No, I think we're all right. Thanks anyway, though.”

You walk out of the room, feeling disgusted. You head to your own room, shutting the door. You turn on your game system, and play for a few hours. You knock on your parent's door, but they don't reply. You go downstairs, and find your mom in the kitchen.

“Mom, are you and dad going to talk about us?”

“Oh, honey, I really don't feel like talking right now. Why don't you go watch a movie or something?”

“I want to talk to you.”

“Well, I really don't feel like talking right now. Why don't you go watch a movie or something?”

“I want to talk about dad.”

“I really don't feel like talking about it, either! Why don't you go sit in the living room and watch a movie, and we'll talk about it in a while?” You turn on the TV and see a video of your parents having a threesome with Mary. You flip it off.

“What the hell was that?” your mom asks.

“I can't believe you did this. You know what dad is like. He's already on the phone with the police.”

“Will, I'm sorry, but did you not think it was a good idea that he call the police before you got home? You understand that, right? It's not like this was some stranger. This was your stepfather. The man you've lived with your whole life.”

“I still don't want you talking to him.”

“I'm sorry, but I think we both realize that this relationship is over. I'm not going to stick around to see if he gets back to you, or how long it takes. I'm not going to pretend that he's still the man I first married. I think we both know that's not possible. I suggest you do the same.”

“But...”

“But, nothing. Why don't you go see your girlfriend Shae?”

“What? You can't tell me I have to break up with her because of this.”

“I didn't say that. Go see her. Do what you want. Just don't come back if you want to keep this relationship. I won't be here to support you. I'm taking the car.”

You sigh and head to Shae's place. You hear water running. You knock on the door, and she opens it.

“What happened?” she asks.

“My parents found out about us. They're splitting up.”

“Oh, honey. I'm so sorry. Why didn't you tell me? I would've...”

“No! It's not your fault. Anyway, I came to tell you that I broke up with you. I'm going with my mother.”

She grabs you and kisses you. You kiss back. You don't care that it's just your stepfather right now. You care about the fact that she kissed you.

Then she pulls away.

“Sorry. I'm still drunk on love.”

You get in her car and drive. You go home. You don't care what your parents think. You're going to be with Shae. You walk in with her and see your mom. “Mom, I'm staying with Shae.”

“I don't care one way or the other. You have no say in this. I'm going to take the car, so you won't be able to go anywhere.”

“Fine. I'll just stay in my room.”

“Good. I'll bring you some food. You can stay locked in your room and starve. See you in a few days, assuming you last that long. Don't worry about the house.”

“Wow,” Shae says. “Your mom is such a bitch.”

“I know. I just can't believe she went through with it. When I think of what she went through with him, I can't even feel sorry for her.”

You pass your father's room and hear more moaning.  You see Mary straddling him on the bed.

“Oh hey, sport,” he says. “I didn't hear you come in.”

“You were busy, I see. Pounding the old pipe, were you?”

“Uh huh.”

“I brought you a little something.”

You walk into the room, and your mother looks up at you. You pull the bag from your pocket.

“I brought you some wine. I hope you don't mind.”

She takes the wine. “Now it's a party.”

“Howdy,” he says, kissing her.

You leave the room, going back into Shae's room.

“Are you okay?” she asks.

“Yeah. My parents are getting a divorce.”

“I'm sorry to hear that. Your father seemed to like my mom, though.”

“He did, but that doesn't mean he didn't like me.”

“Maybe he didn't want to upset you.”

“That's not it. I think you know that.”

You kiss again. It's nice and soft. She tastes sweet. You pull away and look at her. She looks so pretty right now, like a flower about to bloom. You hope it does.

You walk out of Shae's room and into yours. You don't care that it's very obvious that you've been together before. You close the door. You do it quietly, though. You don't want anyone to hear.

You undress. You climb into your bed and cuddle up to Shae.

“I'm sorry,” she whispers. “I'm really drunk.”

You put your hand down her shirt. Your fingertips touch her bra.

“It's okay. I only came here because I was too drunk to drive. I can't believe I was serious about us just meeting.”

“It's not a big deal,” you say.

She laughs. “No, I'm pretty sure it is.”

You start to leave.

“Wait.”

You turn around.

“I want to tell you something.”

You wait.

“I had a dream last night.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah. I dreamed that we got married. I love you so much.”

“I love you too. I'm glad that you had the dream. I was worried you didn't like me. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about my stepdad.”

“It's okay,” she says. “But seeing him naked sort of made me horny.”

“That's good. Do you want to, you know...”

“We should get married,” she says. “In the dream, I mean.”

“Uh huh.”

“Let's. Then in real life too.”

“Okay.”

“I want to wear a fancy gown.”

“Okay.”

“I want our first kiss to be special.”

“Okay. I want it now.”

Shae leans in and kisses you. You break the kiss and start to move your hands down her blouse. Now you can see her bra through her blouse. You can see the outline of her bra through her blouse. Her bra is lacy. She takes her bra off. Shae's breasts are beautiful. Perfectly formed. You move your hands over her breasts. You lean in and gently kiss her right nipple. It's so sensitive. You can feel her nipple getting hard.

She moans. She wants you to do it harder. You do it as she asks. You circle her nipple with your mouth and gently flick your tongue across it. Shae moans and writhes on the bed. You move down over her stomach, kissing and licking and taking her panties off in the process. You move down to her ankles. You kiss each ankle. She kicks her legs back and forth and moans.

You run your hands up her legs, over her hips, and up to her breasts. Your hands are between her legs now. You are caressing her breasts. She grabs your wrists and pushes them down. She has the bottom of her breasts in your hands. You caress her breasts. You lick her nipples. She moans and writhes. You keep licking, making sure you get every bit of flavor and sensation out of the breast. You keep moving your hands over her breasts, kissing and licking and sucking on her nipples.

She comes. She cries out. She thrusts her breasts into your face as she cums. Your mom walks in.

“Will!” she yells. “What are you doing?”

“We were just... you know... I'm sorry. I'll go clean up.”

“Just leave the mess! Or next time I'm gonna beat you so hard you won't be able to sit for a week!”

You run out of the room and up the stairs, laughing. Your stepfather gives you a thumbs up.

“She's a hottie,” he says.

“Shut up, perv,” you say.

“Ain't no harm meant.”

You shower and change and go downstairs. Your mom is making dinner.

“That smells good,” you say, sitting down at the table.

“Pasta and chicken,” she says.

“Yum.”

You eat. Shae walks downstairs, still topless.  You can't help but check her out as she sits next to you at dinner.

“What?” she says. “Do you like my scars?”

“Of course,” you say. “They're very sexy.”

“They're from my car accident.”

“I didn't know.”

“Yeah, I was pretty messed up after the crash.”

She looks down at her plate.

“I'm pretty messed up still,” she says.

“Yeah, I can tell.”

Your step-dad and Mary join you.

“So, Will,” your step-dad says. “You ready to man up and take Mary out? I know she's been talking about this wedding for months.”

“I'm dating Shae, dad. Mary is your mistress.”

“What?”

“You heard me. I'm dating Shae.”

“You're dating your own half-sister.”

“Shut the fuck up, dad.”

“I'm just saying...”

“No, you're not.”

“Mary and I are in love. You married my mom, not me.”

“Shut up, Will. I'll handle this.”

You walk outside with Mary.

The sun is setting. The sky is ablaze with color. “Sorry about that.”

“I'm used to it. Come on. We can watch the sunset.”

You watch the sunset with Mary.

Mary talks about her childhood and her dreams of becoming a pilot.

“Are you happy with my dad?” you ask.

“I'm okay with it.”

“You don't seem okay with it.”

“I'm not. I wish you weren't related.”

“Why? You don't love him.”

“I love your father.”

“Well, I don't love him.”

Mary puts her arm around you. You put your arm around her. You watch the sunset. Shae walks up and smacks Mary. Mary falls over. Shae starts kicking her.

“Leave her alone!” you yell.

“Shut the fuck up, Will. You're just a kid.”

You beat up Shae. You feel something wet on your back. You get up and look at Mary. There's blood coming out of her mouth and she's not moving. You run upstairs and call 911.

“What's your emergency?” the 911 operator asks.

“We need an ambulance for Mary,” you say.

“Is she breathing?”

“I don't know! I just got here!”

“What's your address?”

You give it to her. “It's five miles away. We'll get there in five minutes!” You run back downstairs and outside. Mary is unconscious.

“Why did you do this?” you ask Shae.

“I didn't do this.”

“You're the one who beat her up. You're the one who hurt her.”

“I didn't do this. I didn't touch her.”

“You're lying.”

“I'm not. It wasn't me.”

“What did I do to deserve this?” you ask.

“I didn't do this.”

You start to punch Shae. Then you punch her in the throat. Then in the stomach. Then in the face again.

She grabs your arm. You smack her so hard, she falls down. You pick up a piece of concrete and hit her in the head with it. She falls down and you start to kick her. Then you take a shovel and bury her in the ground.

The police arrive.

“We found her like this.”

“Who is she?” the police officer asks.

“My step-sister.”

“We're doing a full report. We'll let you know if we need any more information.”

You sit on a bench and cry.

You go back inside. Your parents are screwing on the couch. It's sort of gross seeing his dick enter her. You sit down and cry.

“What's wrong, Will?” your mom asks.

“I just hate her. I hate her so much.”

“Honey, it's going to be okay.”

“I wish I was never part of this family.”

“Honey, don't say that. You're part of our family.”

“I'm not!” you say. You stand up and walk outside.

Your mom follows you, still naked.

“Will, please come back. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it.”

“I DO NOT WANT TO BE PART OF YOUR FUCKING FAMILY!” you shout.

“Oh William, give me a hug.”

“I'M NOT YOUR FUCKING HUGGY MUGGY!”

Your dad walks up. “Well I enjoy her.”

“You bastard!”

“I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS!”

You start to kick your dad in the balls. Then you start to punch him. Then you pick up a piece of concrete and smash it in his head. He falls to the ground like a puppet with his strings cut.

“I told you not to marry her.”

“Fuck you!” you scream.

You run away. You sit down in the woods and cry. Your step-sister, Mary, dies. It's raining.

“Why?” you ask.

“I'm sorry.”

“I didn't mean to kill her.”

“You didn't. It wasn't your fault.”

You sit next to her grave.

“I should have done something.”

“She got what she deserved.”

“No, I should have—”

“Will, you should sleep.”

“I can't sleep.”

“Why?”

“I had a bad dream.”

“What was it?”

“I can't tell you.”

“You can tell Mom or Dad.”

“No.”

“Or me.”

“I can't tell you.”

“Will, if you don't tell anyone, I'll never tell anyone.”

“I can't tell anyone.”

“You can trust me.”

“I can't.”

“You can.”

“Okay.”

“I hate you.”

“Why?”

“You're everything good in the world.”

“I'm so sorry, Will. Please, tell me why you hate me so much.”

“Because you're mean to me, you're unfair, and you're the worst person I've ever met.”

“I'm sorry, Will. Please, tell me why.”

“Because I'm different. Because I don't want to give you a disease. Because I don't want you to die.”

“I don't have AIDS, Will. I don't have any disease.”

“I know.”

“How?”

“I tested you when you were a kid.”

“You tested my blood when I was a kid?”

“Yes, I did.”

“And?”

“And it was clean. I was so relieved. I was so afraid.”

“Why?”

“Because I've been having a hard time since my dad died. I've been depressed. I drank.”

“You don't do drugs.”

“I was depressed. I have been having a hard time adjusting to my life without him. I just wish you would have comforted me, told me everything was going to be okay.”

“You mean hug you?”

“Yeah.”

“I tried to, remember?”

“Yeah, but it didn't make me feel as good as a hug from you would have.”

“Okay. I'll try to do better.”

“Thanks.”

“Are we good now?”

You nod.

“Good. I'm never going to let anyone hurt you, you know that, right?”

“Yeah.”

“Promise?”

You kiss her on the cheek.

“I promise.”

She wipes a tear from her eye.

“I love you, Will.”

“I love you, too.”

“Why can't we just be friends?”

“You said you didn't want to be just friends. I thought you meant it.”

“I do.”

“I love you, Will.”

“I, I, I—”

“I love you too, Will.”

You stand up.

“I have to go.”

“Okay, but I love you.”

“I, I, I—”

“I love you too.”

“Okay, I'll see you soon.”

You run through the woods, back to your house.

Your mom sees you run in.

“Everything okay?”

“Fine.”

“Do you want to talk about it?”

“No.”

“Okay.”

You go upstairs to your room and lock the door.

You cry yourself to sleep.

In the morning, you go downstairs, eat breakfast, and pretend that nothing happened.

The next day, you go to school like everything is normal.

Editor's Thoughts: No idea who Will was talking to at the end, but I suppose it matters little.
